04 / In detail

Read the fine print.

01

Price: minutes against booked appointments

AskBenny starts at $99 CAD a month for 300 minutes, then charges $0.35 to $0.45 CAD for each extra minute depending on the plan. Perbene is $99 CAD a month plus $8 for each appointment it books, never more than $349 CAD, and doesn't charge by the minute. Which one costs less depends on your month: AskBenny's bill grows with the minutes on the phone, Perbene's with the appointments it books, up to the cap. Long calls, like emergencies where the caller needs walking through what to do, don't change Perbene's price.

02

After the call: where the two differ most

Both answer, book and send you a summary. For a trade, the difference is what happens when the call is an emergency. Perbene gives the caller safety steps first (shut the main water valve, turn off the water heater, leave the house if they smell gas), then texts whoever is on call with the address, the problem and the callback number, and sends you an urgent alert. AskBenny transfers urgent calls to your team. If your phone rings at 2 AM with real emergencies, try both on the same call and compare.

03

Channels and reputation

Both cover calls, texts, email and website chat. Perbene adds WhatsApp, which matters for customers who message rather than call, and replies to your Google reviews in your voice. AskBenny adds meeting notes and video quote walkthroughs on its higher plans, and has social posting on its roadmap.

04

Integrations: AskBenny is ahead

AskBenny lists more than 20 integrations, including ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuickBooks and Square, plus webhooks and your own API. Perbene connects to Google Calendar, Cal.com and Calendly, HubSpot, Stripe and Google Business Profile, and can use your own Telnyx or Twilio account. If your business runs on ServiceTitan or Jobber, that is a real reason to look at AskBenny.

05

Who should stay with AskBenny?

Stay with AskBenny if you'd rather pay by the minute than per booking, if you need ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro connected today, if you want a native iOS app, or if your callers speak languages beyond English, French and Spanish. It also has hundreds of Canadian customers and strong Google reviews, which Perbene, a newer product, can't show yet.

05 / The bottom line

Make the call with the whole picture.

AskBenny is a solid AI receptionist with broad integrations. Perbene is the better fit when your calls include real emergencies, when an on-call technician has to be reached at night, and when you want reviews, WhatsApp and a team that asks before anything important, all in one place. The fairest test is the same: call both with a 2 AM leak and listen.
